COMMUNICATIONS

We have a www site which we welcome you to visit, it’s URL being http://rebelcherokee.tripod.com/csaeintro.html. Also we can be contacted personally, myself on CollierJ7va@hotmail.com or John.Collier@theseed.net and Tony, our British commander, can be reached at alavolinfantry1@activemail.co.uk. If you email either of us you will get a reply. We also can be contacted by mail, myself at:

JOHN COLLIER
8 LISVANE AVENUE
SCARBOROUGH
N. YORKSHIRE
ENGLAND YO12 5 LU

And Tony at:

TONY JONES
21 BARBRIDGE RD
HESTERSWAY ESTATE
CHELTENHAM
GLOUCESTERSHIRE
ENGLAND GL51 O BS

So…there is no excuse for not contacting us if you have something to say ! Also, you too, can help preserve the memory of those who fought for the South and are buried here in the UK. Just $15.50 will provide a grave marker for a brave Confederate serviceman, and you name also goes on our ROLL OF HOUNOR at our www site. In addition the fact that you contributed is mentioned to the surviving descendants and at our dedications. If it was not for contributions from people like yourself, Tony and I could not place markers at CS gravesites . Many markers are now in place, literally from coast to coast. These are cemented in for long life and we have never had a site molested. Last year I visited two sites after an absence of a year and both sites had the original flag flying besides the grave.

Donations can be made in one of 3 ways. Firstly, you can send banknotes in a letter. This is not recommended ..yet, we have always received money sent this way with no problems. Secondly, you make a foreign draught out to me, JOHN COLLIER, in pounds sterling, or you can send a check to me but made out to ‘MICHAEL S. BENNETT’ in US dollars, our grave marker supplier. Please do not send personal checks made out to Tony or I in US dollars because we can’t cash them.

It’s a great feeling to be responsible for putting a marker on a CS grave and it is something you can be proud of all your life. Make no mistake about it, a small donation will put a marker on a CS serviceman’s grave site here in the UK, and YOU will be responsible. For every person who sends a donation, a serviceman is honoured, but….for every person who reads this and decides not to respond, a CS serviceman’s grave goes unmarked. BUT…we do not expect people to send money they can’t afford! Also, we will send anyone photos of the marked gravesites whether they contribute or not. You only have to ask……..
